Overcoming Fear: Step by Step

Whenever there was something that I dreamed of doing, places where I wished to travel, or the person that I wanted to become, I was always met with criticism. and has

Your friend or your relative may not know your whole life story, but the thoughts of fear come from the same person who has been everywhere you’ve been, and has seen all the mistakes, failures and setbacks that have happened in your life.

When you think about realizing a dream, your fear and doubts may try to convince you that you can’t do it for one reason or another.

I had to learn to accept that fear can be good, and can keep you from doing some pretty dangerous things. Even so, having a complacent, secure and boring life just doesn’t match up to getting what you actually want or becoming who you want to be.

I’ve learned that sometimes you have to accept the fear, push past the doubt and do it anyway.

Life will always make a path for you, if you are willing to work for it or exchange enough time/study/training to get it.

The Funny Thing About Fear

Fear itself never disappears, the root of fear is the same: self-preservation.

It just uses different “concerns” that get less painful if you keep developing your life.

Losing your job, not being able to pay for rent and support their family is a real tangible fear for many people. If you let that fear stop you from taking chances to improve your situation, you will live with that fear forever.

As you gain more financial stability, this part gets less risky. The fears then switch to something like “being able to retire comfortably/leave something for your kids”.

Taming Fear is like climbing a ladder. Every decision you make to push past the fear/doubt it brings you closer to your destination and presents you a new objection to get past.

The closer you get to your goals, the easier it becomes.
